The fund assists families from Southwest Louisiana with children receiving treatment for cancer.

The Kyle Broussard Memorial Fund was established as a living legacy for Kyle, who died of cancer in 2007 at the age of 21.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be residents of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, or Jeff Davis Parish
Have a child under 21 who is receiving treatment for cancer
Be employed and covered by health insurance
Documents required:
Copy of the family's most recent federal income tax form 1040 with signature
Copy of health insurance cards with benefits information
Proof of current employment
Written diagnosis and prognosis from the child's physician
Estimated out-of-pocket expenses
Note: One grant per family per year is to be awarded, a maximum of $5,000 per family.
