The Julie Nelson Women in Industry Fund was created to celebrate the retirement of Julie Nelson. The fund encourages and promotes the education and development of women in industry throughout SWLA. Julie Nelson, a trailblazing executive who dedicated over 20 years to the energy industry in Southwest Louisiana, championed innovation, integrity, and inclusion – especially advocating for women to thrive in traditionally male-dominated fields. The fund stands as a tribute to her enduring commitment to mentorship, excellence, and opening doors for others, ensuring her impact continues through future generations of women.
