May 2018: Thanks to an anonymous donor, we are proud to be partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank to fight hunger across Calcasieu, Cameron, Jeff Davis and Beauregard parishes. The donation of $10,000 is the beginning of a fund to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank's mission to provide hunger relief. In our region, one in seven individuals and one in five children are food insecure. This means 37,000 people are struggling with hunger, including 14,000 children. Support from the community ensures that meals make it to the dinner tables of thousands of families struggling with hunger. (American Press)
