Paying it Foward

Wayne Simmons was your everyday, "Average Joe" guy. He was a hard worker who lived a very modest lifestyle. Before his death in March 2014, he decided he wanted to pay it forward and give back. Because he lived a modest lifestyle, he was able to create a $1 million endowment. Simmons made a choice to give back by leaving behind a legacy that would live on forever.

With his endowment Simmons created a fund that would give to 3 charities annually, forever. He chose the charities he cared about and he felt did great work. This year his charities were made aware of his endowment and received their first annual distribution. The American Cancer Society, Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, and the Salvation Army will benefit, forever, because of his choice to pay it forward!
